What are the benefits to me from your company owning a local hardwood lumber mill?
Because we privately own our own local hardwood lumber mill, we are able to provide a larger selection of products than other lumber companies. This includes filling custom orders and creating custom architectural moulding profiles using a wide variety of wood species. Additionally, because our mill is located so closely to our hardwood lumber stores, we can have any custom orders available quickly with a short lead time.
What types of services do you offer at your local hardwood lumber mill?
At our local hardwood lumber mill, we mill many of the hardwood lumber products that we keep in stock at our stores including the architectural mouldings and S4S lumber material. We maintain a stock of over half of a million board feet of lumber at our mill that is ready for use at any time. At our mill we can:
- Create custom mouldings in nearly any softwood or hardwood lumber
- Produce custom radius arches per your specifications
- Manufacture butcher block tops using our special gluing machine
- Cut custom component parts
- Sand and plane S4S lumber

How do I order custom hardwood lumber and architectural mouldings?
If you would like to order custom hardwood lumber or architectural mouldings from our stores, please contact us at either of our hardwood lumber store locations. Custom orders will require a deposit of half down at the time when the order is placed. When requesting a quote on custom mouldings for which we do not already have a knife available, we will need a dimensioned drawing or sample. Set up charges and knife grinding charges may apply for custom orders depending on the quantity ordered.
In what lengths are your hardwood lumber products available?
All of the hardwood lumber that we stock in our stores is supplied in random lengths that are between 3’ and 16’ in length depending on the particular item.
We can also custom cut hardwood lumber to specified lengths for an additional charge. The up-charge for custom cut orders will vary depending on the item. When specified lengths are ordered, we reserve the option to ship a combination of length to achieve the lengths ordered, but you will not be invoiced for more than 10% over shipment. Specified 16’ lengths are subject to availability.
